I'm consumed by #STORY at the moment

I'm obsessed with "story" at the moment. Lots of inspiration coming from every direction so I thought I'd better share some of it. This one is probably fairly well known but a nice place to start...

 

The Someday Awards 2011. Tonight. @TOFSFILM

153 teams with more than 600 participants under the age of 24 have taken part in this years' Outlook for Someday Sustainability Film Challenge, making 2011 the biggest yet. Tonight is the official, red carpet, prize-giving shindig at the Aotea Centre.

I'm one of 13 ambassadors for the project, which challenges young people to "Make a sustainability-related film, filmed with any camera and length up to 5 minutes." Cool eh?

Toomelah #Film

Toomelah
Toomelah. Cool Australian film. Very interesting film making: One man crew to write, shoot, edit, score. That's literally one man with his camera and a few lights in his car, on location for 5 weeks. The producer was back in Sydney. Cast (all non actors) sometimes helped hold the mic. 

Lead actor was only available after school so they shot from 3 until it got dark.

5 weeks to shoot.

AUD$600,000 and according to the producer "they actually struggled to spend it."
